Where were you...

Today I got the call that no person wants to get. That is the call saying one of your best friends has died. BB was a great man, friend, son, and fiance. I first met BB at TruGreen Chemlawn in Lenexa, Kansas. Fresh out of college, I was your typical, cocky, 22 year-old looking to take on the world and kick ass at my first job. I sat next to this lil' 5'5, chubby kid named Brian. He was a little older than me, but we hit it off from the beginning. Instantly a friendship was born..and now still lives through me. We call him B.B.

RIP B.B. (Brian Boyd)

BB - I was totally honored when you asked me to be in your wedding this fall. I was really looking forward to seeing you again. It's been a while. I'm going to miss the "Tiger Nights", playing Tiger Woods on Playstation2, drinking 40 oz. Mickeys until 3 in the morning, 2, 3, sometimes 4 times a week. I'm going to miss the days we used to holler "WEST SIDE" whenever we made a sale, because we sat on the west side of the sales room...just me and you man. I'm especially going to miss the trash talking we used to do when my Broncos played your Chiefs. Man, you were too young to go, and I'm gonna miss you bro. Until next time, I'll pour out some Mickeys for ya, put in a fat chew of "the Bear", and look forward to the day I get to see you again and B.S. about how lucky the Broncos/Chiefs got in the game on Sunday. I love you man, Rest In Peace!

I'll leave you all with this...Next time you talk to your friends/family members on the phone, don't forget to tell them how much you love and miss them, because you never know when you might not get to say goodbye.
OUT
